Nonclinical Healthcare Focused Investment Fund – Associate position

Job Description

A healthcare focused investment fund is seeking candidates to fill an associate position in New York. Our fund has >$1B under management and we are known for our deep fundamental research and thorough assessment of clinical, regulatory, and commercial risks. Candidates should have an advanced scientific degree related to healthcare, including an MD or PhD and prior business experience. 

We are looking for those with a strong work ethic that are driven to succeed. The ideal candidate has a scientific background, an MBA, along with a few years of business experience. Careers in consulting, investment banking and/or equity research along with an ability to model are preferable.

Candidates will work in a small team environment, focusing on fundamental research, screening for new investment ideas, building and maintaining models, conducting independent primary research, and interacting with management teams across the industry. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as you will also be responsible for creating presentations and reports to our partners.

    I’m interested in hearing more about this position. I trained and graduated from SUNY Upstate COM in Syracuse back in 2005. I’m currently a practicing psychiatrist looking into a career transition. I have an avid interest in the healthcare industry and will only add to your team of physicians.
