Nonclinical Equity Research Associate (Biotechnology)

Job Opportunity:

Associate to work with Cowen’s biotechnology equity research team in New York.

Responsibilities:

Support senior analysts; analyze individual biotech companies, market trends; compose company-specific and thematic research reports; build and maintain financial models; interact with Cowen’s institutional sales force and investor clients.

Qualifications:

• Hardwork ethic, attention to detail, desire to learn about healthcare industry, passion for investing.
• Exceptional academic pedigree, ideally with a higher degree in a life science-related field (MD or PhD).
• Outstanding analytical skills. Ability to do deep primary research with industry executives, physicians, legal consultants.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform in a team environment.
