Clinical Chief Medical Officer – Infectious Diseases
Job Description
Chief Medical Officer sought for newly organized New York biotech firm developing powerful new treatments for infectious disease, particularly for drug-resistant and newly-emerging pathogens. This is the fastest growing segment of the medical market. Pipeline products are being built from several proprietary technologies licensed from The Rockefeller University, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and developed directly. These technologies employ monoclonal antibodies and lysins to treat drug- resistant bacteria and viruses.
The Chief Medical Officer will be a senior officer in the firm, experienced and qualified in infectious disease. He/she will be responsible for setting up and supervising accurately targeted, persuasive early clinical trials and data analysis. He/she will form and lead project teams, interface with FDA staff, regulatory authorities, corporate executives and investors. Public relations and post marketing management skills are also required. Will also be knowledgeable in Surbanes-Oxley compliance and patent issues. Compensation commensurate.
